Brightlands Blue Mountains for sale for $6.5M through ResortBrokers
The freehold going concern of premier retreat and spa Brightlands in Leura in the heart of the Blue Mountains is for sale for $6.5M through Jacqueline Featherby and Tim Mayoh of ResortBrokers.
Brightlands is a dual asset comprising the 10-bedroom The Nunnery and the 5-bedroom Bethany Manor.
Occupying a sprawling 6,020 sqm site, The Nunnery was built in 1906 and has undergone various transformation over the years, including, at one time, as a religious retreat. Fully refurbished in 2021, the Federation-era home includes 10 spacious bedrooms with individual bathrooms, a split-level tower with a day spa, a refurbished chapel, panoramic views of the outdoors, and a peaceful ambiance for conferences, meditation and yoga.
Bethany Manor, built in 1987, is a five-bedroom bed and breakfast situated on 2,439 sqm of land. Bedrooms feature tall ceilings, leadlight windows and decorative cornicing. The property boasts a long gravel driveway, landscaped gardens and a large dining/conference area under a glass roof.
Located less than 1.5 hours’ drive from central Sydney on the edge of the Blue Mountains, Leura is one of the prettiest towns in the region thanks to its heritage homes, cold climate gardens and National Trust-classified town centre that is lined with cherry trees during blossom season.
In February 2023, the NSW Government announced $60M in funding for 15 new projects in the Blue Mountains, which included a $5.6M upgrade to the Great Blue Mountains Trail to provide a link from Leura Station through Leura Mall, Leura Cascades, to Echo Point.
“Brightlands is a truly magical destination experience,” says ResortBrokers’ Jacqueline Featherby. “Leura is arguably the loveliest town in the Blue Mountains, and Brightlands is one of its most exquisite properties. We invite investors to explore this exceptional opportunity and capitalise on the immense value these dual assets of The Nunnery and Bethany Manor trading as Brightlands bring.”
