King Charles III's spectacular bushland retreat at Berowra Waters north of Sydney hits the market for $8million
King Charles III's former Hawkesbury River estate, north of Sydney, has hit the market.
Situated at Berowra Waters, 50kms from the CBD, the 3.54ha bushland paradise is currently home to the luxury 'Marramarra Lodge' resort.
Featuring 14 separate residences, the sprawling property has been listed with a price range of $8million-$8.8million reports The Daily Telegraph.
Built for patrons who enjoy their privacy, the site is only accessible by seaplane, boat or helicopter.
The resort's exclusive clientele, meanwhile, are charged up to an eye-watering $1900 a night.
Surrounded by gorgeous water views and situated in a stunning bushland setting, the property hosted King Charles III in the 1970s.
The site was built originally for the Outward Bound youth organisation, which operated the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, founded by King Charles' father, Prince Philip.
According to the report, Prince Philip actually arranged for the property to connect to the electricity grid over two decades ago.
Designed currently to accommodate up to 80 people, highlights include five star facilities throughout such as river-stone bathrooms, bespoke art work, and king beds.
There's also a fine dining restaurant and spa.
Other features include a tranquil out door lounge deck, with fire place, and an in-built pool.
The current owners are moving on after operating the resort for 21 years.
Meanwhile, the resort is known to regularly host local and over seas super stars.
