Mandala Hotel and Resorts management rights of Port Douglas hotel for sale — ResortBrokers

Mandala Hotel and Resorts has put the management and letting rights of Port Douglas Peninsula Boutique Hotel on the market for $5.75 million.

Marketing the rights are ResortBrokers’ Far North Queensland Broker Leah Bursztynowicz and Managing Director Trudy Crooks.

Located on the Esplanade across from Four Mile Beach, the 34-suite, 4.5-star hotel offers unrivalled views of the beach and Coral Sea.

Operated by Mandala since 2019, Port Douglas Peninsula Boutique Hotel is exclusive to adult guests aged 17 and over.

“The hotel’s exclusive adults-only policy has served it well and suits the Port Douglas luxury market,” says Leah Bursztynowicz.

“The hotel attracts a loyal, high-yield clientele with strong repeat bookings and highly favourable word-of-mouth that reduces reliance on third-party marketing channels.”

“Port Douglas as a high-end tropical destination is so well known now both nationally and internationally, it virtually sells itself.”

Mandala is Australia’s largest accommodation asset fund with a focus on regional properties. Its portfolio encompasses 35 regional accommodation properties in 22 cities across Australia, representing over $250 million in assets under management.

“We’ve had a great run operating Port Douglas Peninsula Boutique Hotel,” says John Zeckendorf, Mandala’s principal and co-founder.

“After six years, and looking to rebalance our portfolio, we’ve taken the decision to put the management rights on the market. The new owner will be taking over a very well-established resort in arguably the best location in town.” END
