Norfolk Island portfolio sold by ResortBrokers
ResortBrokers’ Queensland agent David Faiers has settled what is believed to be the highest-value commercial transaction ever completed on Norfolk Island, comprising the freehold going concerns of eco-resorts Endeavour Lodge and Rainbows End, along with vacant land and a residential farmhouse.
Occupying a clifftop position with uninterrupted Pacific Ocean views, the portfolio comprises the freehold going concerns of eco-resorts Endeavour Lodge and Rainbows End, along with vacant land and a residential farmhouse.
Spread over seven hectares, Endeavour Lodge boasts seven luxury apartments, while Rainbows End is a three-bedroom licensed residence. The apartments are multi-award-winning and Green Star accredited by Star Ratings Australia.
Mr Faiers sold the portfolio on behalf of vendors Duncan and Gaewyn Evans, who have owned it since 1998. Both have long generational ties with Norfolk. Duncan Evans is a direct descendant of Fletcher Christian, the famous Bounty mutineer, while Gaewyn Evans is a descendent of Henry Fulton who served as a presbyterian chaplain during the first convict settlement from 1801 to 1806.
The sale was Mr Faiers’ second on Norfolk inside 12 months. In 2025, he sold the freehold going concern of the 20-key Castaway Motel & Brewery Norfolk Island.
“I’m thrilled to have secured a fantastic result for the Evans of such a unique asset,” Mr Faiers told The Hotel Conversation.
“This transaction reinforces that quality assets — no matter how remote — will always attract strong buyer interest when strategically marketed.” END
