Northern Territory Timber Creek Hotel for sale $5.2 million by ResortBrokers

ResortBrokers Managing Director Trudy Crooks and Nothern Territory broker Kelli Crouch are handling the marketing of this rare Northern Territory Outback multi-faceted property boasting accommodation, roadhouse, hospitality, retail tourism and service centre for sale.

Fishermen at this weekend’s Big Horse Creek Barra Classic in Timber Creek could bag the biggest catch of all, with the Timber Creek Hotel on the market for $5.2 million.

ResortBrokers Managing Director Trudy Crooks and Nothern Territory broker Kelli Crouch are handling the sale of this rare Northern Territory Outback opportunity to own a multi-faceted property boasting accommodation, roadhouse, hospitality, retail tourism and service centre.

Located in the central heart along the drive connecting Katherine, Victoria Daly and Western Australia’s East Kimberley region, Timber Creek is part of the iconic Savannah Way touring route.

Ms Crooks says the opportunity is akin to reeling in the biggest barramundi in the NT, with the property boasting a net profit of $1.15 million.

“For almost everyone who travels through, works, or lives in this remote region, stopping at the Timber Creek Hotel is a must – a haven for relaxation and exploration,” she says.

“It’s a meeting place with a friendly, buzzing atmosphere as independent travellers and tour groups of all ages, truckies, workers and locals call in for comfort, sustenance, provisions and fuel.

“It includes a motel, caravan and camping sites, leisure amenities, licensed restaurant and bar, takeaway food outlet, convenience store, fuel service station and wildlife attractions.

“With the $20 million Bradshaw Field Training Area for the military currently under construction in Timber Creek, and domestic and international borders now open, the options to capitalise on growth are endless.”

Timber Creek Hotel owner Fiona McDonald says Timber Creek is known as the “Finch capital of Australia” as it is home to the elusive Gouldian Finch that attracts three birding tours.

But this weekend the main attraction would be the 34th Big Horse Creek Barra Classic on Victoria River which starts tomorrow (Saturday, 30 April) ) and runs until Sunday, 1 May.

“There’s so much for locals and visitors to do here. Fishermen love the Victoria River, which flows 560 kilometres from its source, for its stock of barramundi,” she says.

“4WD enthusiasts have plenty of choice to explore along the Bullita track and surrounding Judbarra National Park.

“With its three-hour proximity to Katherine, Timber Creek sits in pole position from which to base an Outback adventure.”
