Queenscliff boutique hotel Athelstane House on sale through ResortBrokers
The freehold going concern of Athelstane House in Queenscliff, the seaside town at the south-eastern end of Victoria’s Bellarine Peninsula, is being offered to market via an expressions of interest campaign through ResortBrokers West Victoria agent Hugh Thomas.
Built in 1860, Athelstane House was extensively renovated in the 1990s in keeping with its historical aesthetic.
Located in the heart of town, the property has operated as a 10-room boutique hotel for many years.
“This is an opportunity to own a piece of history and perhaps to create some of your own,” says Mr Thomas.
“The buyer has the option of continuing the property’s existing operations as a boutique hotel. Or they could repurpose it as a private residence.”
“As a business, the hotel has proved hugely popular with guests as shown in its exceptional OTA ratings. It’s consistently rated one of the best hotels, if not the best, in town.”
Spanning almost 1,000 sqm, Athelstane House is located a few minutes’ walk from the beach, Queenscliff Harbour, Citizens Park and the main shopping strip in Hesse Street.
The hotel’s commercial kitchen serves a large onsite restaurant and living room area.
“The restaurant offers is an additional revenue stream for owners,” says Mr Thomas. “There’s ample scope to extend its trading hours to attract a larger client base from among the local community.” END
