Quest Apartment Hotels franchise Macquarie Park sold by ResortBrokers
This is the Page family’s second Quest acquisition through ResortBrokers in 12 months. In November 2023, the family settled its purchase of the franchise to the 59-apartment Quest Cronulla Beach through ResortBrokers, which has been Quest’s preferred agent nationwide for over a decade.
“We set our sights on a second Quest business shortly after our purchase of Quest Cronulla Beach,” says Robert Page. “Quest Macquarie Park was an opportunity too good to pass up. Macquarie Park is Australia’s largest non-CBD office market and is on track to become one of the nation’s largest commercial precincts.
"There’s clearly strong demand in the area for corporate and leisure travel, which perfectly fits Quest’s guest profile, as well as a shortage of hotel rooms. We’re hoping to leverage all that with Quest Macquarie Park.”
“Quest Macquarie Park’s location, calibre and scale positions it extremely well to enjoy a large slice of Macquarie Park’s ever-growing guest market,” says ResortBrokers Greater Sydney agent Tim Mayoh who brokered the deal with fellow agent Jacqueline Featherby.
“Macquarie Park is Sydney’s global economic corridor. Its designation by the NSW Government as a priority precinct means its importance will continue to grow as will Quest Macquarie Park along with it.”
The Page family business is managed by Robert Page, supported by his father, Richard Page, former president of Best Western Australasia, and mother, Evelyn, a hotel manager of 15 years’ experience.
Robert Page enjoyed a successful seven-year career as a Sydney residential real estate agent before his first hands-on hotel experience operating the Page family’s freehold going concern Best Western Sanctuary Inn in Tamworth from 2017 to 2022.
The Page family is considering more Quest business acquisitions in the future.
“Quest is an exceptional brand with an exceptional business formula,” says Robert Page. “We would definitely like to purchase another Quest business should a suitable opportunity arise.” END
