Resorts on the block

Mr Schwartze will sell the waterfront resorts which comprise around 50 bungalows and apartments separately. Coco Beach Resort is up for grabs at $2.7m, Ocean View Hotel Apartments are on the market for $3.55m and Tropicana Resort has an asking price of $3.7m.

Pre-Covid the Pacific island nation hosted 350,000 tourists annually, up from 82,000 back in 1995.

ResortBrokers director Alex Cook points out that for just $500,000 more than the average $2.2m price of a Byron Bay house, punters can pick up an entire waterfront resort in Vanuatu.

Mr Schwartze is downsizing after owning the properties for many years.
