Minor Hotel Group announces upscale AVANI Residences in Queensland, Australia
Minor Hotel Group (MHG), a hotel owner, operator and investor, currently with a portfolio of 135 hotels and resorts in 22 countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, South America, Africa and the Indian Ocean, announced the expansion of its portfolio in Australia. The AUD$150 million development known as The Beach Apartments Broadbeach on Queensland’s Gold Coast, when completed in late 2017, will be known as AVANI Broadbeach Residences. The project is being developed by industry-leading developers Anthony Moreton Group and Pryde Group, and is currently under construction with builder Brookfield Multiplex.
Scheduled to open in 2017 in advance of the XXI Commonwealth Games to be held on the Gold Coast in 2018, the 219-key AVANI Broadbeach Residences will be located in the heart of one of the Gold Coast’s premier beach destinations. AVANI Broadbeach Residences will be well placed for guests to take advantage of Broadbeach’s most popular lifestyle and entertainment precincts, including the world-class Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, which is set to become Queensland’s largest, the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre, and the iconic Jupiters Casino.
AVANI Broadbeach Residences will also be conveniently located a short stroll from Broadbeach’s walking tracks and lush parklands, as well as the Gold Coast Light Rail tram network, connecting guests with the city’s key activity hubs, such as Surfers Paradise and Southport.
Leveraging the strengths of all partners to create the ultimate guest experience tailored to the location, Minor Hotel Group is fusing its fresh, modern philosophy and brand concepts with the developers’ overall master plan for a lifestyle-focused environment. Created by DBI, design concepts in development include a tropical landscaped podium terrace, a resident’s lounge, meeting space and an al fresco bar and restaurant.
Launched by MHG in 2011, AVANI Hotels & Resorts is a vibrant upscale hotel brand that offers relaxed comfort and contemporary style in city and resort destinations to guests who value the details that matter. Currently with a portfolio of 13 properties across 10 countries, MHG has plans to rapidly grow the brand across Asia, India and the Indian Ocean and in the Middle East.
