Byron Shire ‘wilderness getaway’ Nightcap Ridge listed for sale for $4.9 million
Byron Shire hinterland luxury “wilderness getaway” Nightcap Ridge has been listed for $4.9 million.
The site has been designed as a 67-acre “luxury eco-resort” for destination weddings, long-table lunches, short-term accommodation and wellness retreats.
Nestled in the rainforest on Nightcap Range Rd at Dorroughby, about 40 minutes from Byron Bay and Bangalow, the property was previously listed for $8 million in 2020.
The owners picked up the property in 2015 and turned it into a destination venue.
The site includes a three-bedroom residence and helipad along with three cottages that can accommodate up to 10 overnight guests.
“Glamping tents” can also be erected on the property, providing more accommodation.
The owners have also secured development consent to build 12 luxury villas, increasing capacity by an additional 35 guests.
The property is located in the Nightcap National Park, part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia that stretch from Newcastle to Brisbane – the most extensive area of subtropical rainforest in the world.
“The Byron Bay hinterland is leading the Byron Shire’s booming destination wedding industry,” selling agent Miguel Bozina said.
“Properties like Nightcap Ridge are tightly held so this presents a very rare opportunity to tap into this growing sector.
“This property is its own secluded, private destination wedding estate that is purpose built.”
The property is 3km from Minyon Falls, 45 minutes to Byron Bay and Ballina Airport and 90 minutes to Gold Coast Airport.
