Jeff Keast

Specialist Accommodation Broker
Brisbane
"Across all businesses there is one constant. You need to provide your clients with impeccable service and actively listen to what they need. Then you need to work your backside off to get them the best result."

Since joining ResortBrokers in 2020, Jeff Keast has established himself as one of the most trusted and respected management rights specialists in Brisbane, an accomplishment he puts down to his hard work in building long-term relationships with buyers and operators.

In his five years with ResortBrokers, Jeff has sold 57 management rights assets with a total value of more than $97 million. His pipeline for the current financial year will take his total to 67 sales with a combined worth of approximately $120 million.

In 2023, Jeff, with ResortBrokers Director Alex Cook, settled the sale of the management rights to Annexe Apartments in the Brisbane inner-city suburb of Bowen Hills for a record $8.3 million. The sale of the 81-apartment complex was the first large, short-let management rights to settle in the Queensland capital since Covid.

His other notable sales include the 256-unit Panorama Apartments (Bowen Hills), which he sold off market; Park View and Alma Parklands (in North Lakes and Dakabin respectively), consisting of 373 townhouses in total, which were sold in one line; the 26 apartment La Vida on Anzac (Redcliffe); the 221-apartment Illumina high-rise (Toowong); the 150-apartment Victoria Cove (Victoria Point); the 143-apartment Zest (Kelvin Grove); the 130-apartment Savoir Faire (Milton); and the off-the-plan management rights to Evoke and Motif in McDowall and Bridgeman Downs respectively, which were sold in one line.

Occasionally, Jeff works on deals outside his zone. In 2024, he conjuncted with a fellow ResortBrokers’ agent for the sale of the management rights of Noosaville’s largest resort, the 133-apartment Ivory Palms Resort.

In FY23, Jeff's success was acknowledged with ResortBrokers’ Rising Star Award. He was also a finalist for ARAMA’s Sales Broker of the Year Award for a second year in a row.

Jeff's determination to help all parties in a deal are the key to his success.

“What I enjoy most about my job is helping people find a great business,” he says. “Often, they’re first timers entering the industry and they’re buying a business as well as a lifestyle. It’s also very rewarding to sell a business for someone, especially someone who is approaching retirement. At times I’ve found myself to be emotionally invested in achieving an outstanding result for both the vendor and buyer.”

“These transactions take the best part of five to six months, so I work very closely with both parties. For me, the key to being a great broker is to realise the importance of having great relationships with buyers and sellers and to be extremely patient throughout the process to see the sale all the way through to settlement.”

“Across all businesses there is one constant. You need to provide your clients with impeccable service and actively listen to what they need. Then you need to work your backside off to get them the best result.”

Outside work, Jeff is a great family man who loves spending time with his wife and two kids. He is also a doggedly loyal Broncos supporter, having stuck by them through thick and thin.
