Since joining ResortBrokers in February 2020, Jeff Keast has established himself as one of the most trusted and respected management rights specialists in Brisbane, an accomplishment he puts down to his hard work in building long-term relationships with buyers and operators.
In his four years with ResortBrokers, Jeff has sold 45 management rights properties with a total value of more than $68 million.
In 2023, Jeff, with ResortBrokers Director Alex Cook, settled the sale of the management rights to Annexe Apartments in the Brisbane inner-city suburb of Bowen Hills for a record $8.3 million. The sale of the 81-apartment complex was the first large, short-let management rights to settle in the Queensland capital since Covid.
His other notable sales include the 221-apartment Illumina high-rise in Toowong, the 150-apartment Victoria Cove in Victoria Point, the 143-apartment Zest in Kelvin Grove, the 130-apartment Savoir Faire in Milton, and the off-the-plan management rights to Evoke & Motif in McDowall and Bridgeman Downs respectively, which were sold in one line.
In FY23, Jeff's success was acknowledged with ResortBrokers’ Rising Star Award. He was also a finalist for ARAMA’s Sales Broker of the Year Award for a second year in a row.
Jeff's determination to help all parties in a deal are the key to his success.
“What I enjoy most about my job is helping people find a great business,” he says. “Often, they’re first timers entering the industry and they’re buying a business as well as a lifestyle. It’s also very rewarding to sell a business for someone, especially someone who is approaching retirement. At times I’ve found myself to be emotionally invested in achieving an outstanding result for both the vendor and buyer.”

For me, the key to being a great broker is to realise the importance of having great relationships with buyers and sellers and to be extremely patient throughout the process to see the sale all the way through to settlement.”

Outside work, Jeff is a great family man who loves spending time with his wife and two kids. He is also a doggedly loyal Broncos supporter, having stuck by them through thick and thin.
