David Faiers

Senior Specialist Accommodation Broker
Queensland
"As a previous holiday park owner with a 25-year career in sales and business across a range of industries, I know how to talk with operators and understand their businesses."

David is one of Queensland’s most effective and highly regarded specialist brokers in the accommodation property sector.

Since joining ResortBrokers in 2022, he has achieved one of the highest transaction rates of any broker in our team, settling 60 accommodation asset sales with a combined value exceeding $135 million.

David’s exceptional volume rate has earned him back-to-back ResortBrokers’ Top Dealmaker awards for FY25 and FY26.

Active throughout Queensland, David has successfully sold a diverse range of assets from the coast to the outback, including motels, caravan parks and resorts.

His FY26 highlights include the off-market sale of the 81-room Cairns Queens Court Motel to Sydney-based Quay Wholesale Fund Services; the sale of the 32-room Whiteoaks Motel & Lodge in Toowoomba; and a Norfolk Island portfolio anchored by eco-resort Endeavour Lodge, which is understood to be the highest-value commercial transaction ever completed on the island. This represented David’s second Norfolk Island transaction in 12 months, following the 2025 sale of the 20-key Castaway Motel & Brewery Norfolk Island.

Before joining ResortBrokers, David built a successful career spanning property, tourism automotive and business ownership.

After relocating to Queensland in the early 1990s, he worked as a senior auctioneer and manager with some of Australia’s leading motor auction houses. In 2004, he established a specialist plant and equipment valuation business in Brisbane, providing asset valuation and refinance advice to major financial institutions and law firms across Australia.

In 2007, David acquired a BIG4 Holiday Park in northwest Queensland and transformed it into one of Australia’s leading inland tourist parks. The successful business was later sold by ResortBrokers in 2014.

Following a move to northern New South Wales, David became dealer principal and general manager of a multi-site, multi-franchise motor dealership before returning to the tourism industry, where he took on a park manager contract role in Byron Bay with Reflections Holiday Parks, the organisation responsible for managing Crown reserves throughout NSW.

With decades of hands-on experience as an operator, business owner and sales professional, David brings a practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by accommodation owners. His commercial approach, strong negotiation skills and straightforward style enable him to deliver successful outcomes for vendors and buyers alike.

“As a previous holiday park owner with a 25-year career in sales and business ownership across a range of industries, I know how to talk to operators and understand their businesses,” says David. “I’m old school. What you see is what you get. What I say I’m going to do, I do.”
