As managing director of ResortBrokers since 2019, and previously national sales manager from 2011, Trudy is the driving force behind the agency’s ongoing success and expansion.
She has led the growth of the family business — founded by her father, Ian, in 1985 — from six brokers to more than 30 nationwide, with a presence in every state and territory. Trudy travels extensively to mentor and support her team across the country’s diverse and dynamic markets.
Widely regarded as one of the leading figures in the accommodation property sector, Trudy is recognised throughout the industry for her expertise, energy, and enthusiasm.
Her passion for the sector was established early. She began her career with ResortBrokers straight out of school, and at just 20 years old, sold her first accommodation asset — the Zebra Motel in Coffs Harbour.
Eager to broaden her experience, Trudy spent almost a decade in London with Foxtons, the city’s leading real estate agency. There, she won multiple top sales awards, was rapidly promoted to branch manager leading a team of 14 agents, and later appointed to run the prestigious Mayfair office. In her first month in that role, she set a company record of £1 million in fees.
Since rejoining ResortBrokers in 2011, Trudy has personally sold assets with a combined value exceeding $540 million.
As managing director, she continues to personally act on major transactions nationwide. Her notable career sales include:
- Country Motel Ipswich: Sold for $19.5 million in 2026, setting a new Australian record for the sale of a traditional motel and a new per-key record for a non-coastal motel asset.
- Art Series Hotel portfolio: A 2017 off-market transaction in which Mantra Group acquired the Art Series Hotel brand from Deague Group for $52.5 million, marking the first-ever sale of an entire hotel brand in Australia.
- City Edge Apartment Hotels franchise: A 2023 off-market portfolio sale of five Melbourne hotels to Choice Hotels Asia-Pac.
- FV by Peppers: In 2017, Australia’s largest management rights transaction at the time, with the sale of Gurner’s Brisbane high-rise FV for $28 million to Mantra Group.

- Roma Explorers Inn: A 2024 off-market sale of the freehold going concern of the four-star, 89-room property, one of Queensland’s leading regional hotels and conference venues.
Trudy heads ResortBrokers’ Hotels Division, which supports major operators including Quest, Accor, Mantra and Minor International in expanding their Australian footprint.
